Florida Atlantic University was ranked among the top ten colleges globally for research productivity in entrepreneurship, according to a new ranking from Texas Christian University.
The college jumped 49 spots in the rankings calculated by the Texas Christian University Global University Research Productivity report, ranking number 10, up from 59 last year.
"We are pleased and proud to be recognized for the top-tier entrepreneurship research that our faculty produce. Entrepreneurship is incredibly important here in Florida, and is also a key part of our nation's innovation," said Daniel Gropper, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business. "Being ranked in the top 10 in the world is a great accomplishment, and these research contributions from our faculty in economics, finance, and management help us understand the various factors that help entrepreneurs succeed."
The TCU Global University Entrepreneurship Research Productivity Rankings is based on entrepreneurship research published in a five year period form 2019-2023. The ranking counts publications made from universities in three of the top entrepreneurship journals: Journal of Business Venturing (JBV), Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice (ETP), Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (SEJ).
While only one indicator of a college's program, research productivity is a key component of whether an entrepreneurial program is following an evidence-based approach and exemplifies thought leadership.
