Florida Atlantic University’s Madden Center for Value Creation is offering a free online certificate to help business professionals analyze and create value in organizations.
The certificate aligns with the Madden Center’s mission of promoting value creation as a fundamental part of achieving economic success and educating people to become value creators.
Certificate course participants will learn about such topics as work, innovation and resource allocation; life cycle performance and firm risk; intangible assets, brands and shareholder returns; and free-market capitalism and knowledge-building.
Registration for the executive education offering is open until June 19. To register, click here. The course lasts from June 26 to Aug. 30.
“We’re delighted to provide this free education for not only the local communities of Palm Beach, Broward, Martin and St. Lucie counties, but also for a larger national and global audience,” said Siri Terjesen, Ph.D., an associate dean in FAU's College of Business and executive director of the Madden Center. “We have professionals from all over the world interested in becoming value creators.”
The College of Business established the Madden Center last year with a $3 million donation from the Bartley J. Madden Foundation.
“When firms are successful in using resources and creating value, they're also building knowledge,” said Daniel Gropper, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business. “And when firms succeed in creating value, they also create a long-lasting positive impact for our economic future. This is key to the working of a free-market society.”
