- We would like to extend a very warm welcome to the New Marketing Chair, Dr. Hong Yuan. Professor Yuan earned her master’s degree in applied economics and her Ph.D. degree in marketing from the University of Michigan. She was a Professor of Marketing at the Lundquist College of Business, University of Oregon prior to joining us here at Florida Atlantic.
- Congratulations to Anita Pennathur, Anita has been selected as the newest Finance Chair.
- Honors Convocation Applications are due February 5th for the Distinguished Undergraduate Research and Inquiry Mentor of the Year Award, click here for more information. Award Ceremony will take place April 17th, 2024.
- Call for Nominations - 2024 Employee Service Awards Nominations are now being accepted for three significant annual employee awards: President's Leadership Award, Gabor Exemplary Award and iTHINK Financial Customer Service Award. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. Award winners will be honored at the Annual Employee Service Awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 23. Click here for the nomination form.

Peer Reviewed Research
Pierre Alexandre, Associate Professor and Director of Health Administration Programs, Judy Monestime, Research Associate and Instructor, Health Administration Programs, and co-author, have had their article, “The Impact of Market Factors on Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) among Primary Care Providers: Evidence from Florida using Resource Dependence Theory and Information Uncertainty Perspective" accepted for publication in Medical Care, a Premier Journal in the Business School Alliance for Health Management (BAHM) list.
Susan Dennett, Instructor, Management Programs, and co-author, have had their paper titled, "Resilience and Emotional Intelligence: A Dynamic Partnership for Human Resources Professionals in Today’s Workplace", accepted for publication in the Journal of Human Resources Management.
Xiaohua (David) Fang, Associate Professor, School of Accounting, and co-authors, have had their paper titled, “Reproducibility in Management Science” accepted for publication in Management Science. (AJG 4*, ABDC A*, and FT 50).
Gulcin Gumus, Associate Professor, Management Programs, along with co-authours have had their paper titled, "Hit -and-run or Hit-and-stay? Unintended Effects of a Stricter Bac Limit" accepted for publication in Risk Analysis: An International Journal (ABS4 journal).
Mingxiang Li, Associate Professor, Management Programs, Siri Terjesen, Professor & Associate Dean, and co-author, have had their paper titled, “Venture Governance, CEO Duality, and New Venture Performance” accepted for publication in the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (AJG 4, FT 50).
James E. McNulty, Emeritus Professor of Finance, and co-author have had their paper, "The Relation Between US Bank Profit Efficiency and Net Interest Income", accepted for publication in The Quarterly Journal of Finance and Accounting.
Rob Pinsker, School of Accounting, along with co-authors, published a study on ChatGPT, "The ChatGPT Artificial Intelligence Chatbot: How Well Does It Answer Accounting Assessment Questions?", in Issues in Accounting Education 38 (4): 81-108 (ABS 3, ABDC A).
