Research Kudos

Douglas Cumming, DeSantis Distinguished Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Finance, with co-authors, had their paper titled, "Corporate Governance in Extreme Institutional Environments," published in the British Journal of Management.

Paul Koku and Tamara Mangleburg from the Department of Marketing, along with another co-author, had their paper titled, “Really New Services: Perceived Risk and Adoption Intentions,” published in the Services Marketing Quarterly.

Michael Harari, Associate Professor in the Department of Management Programs, with co-authors, had their paper titled, "Movement Capital, RAW model, or circumstances? A meta-analysis of perceived employability predictors," accepted for publication in the Journal of Vocational Behavior. (ABS 4) 


Recognitions

Monica Escaleras, Founder and Director of the Business and Economics Polling Initiative (BEPI), has been appointed as the new Chair for the Department of Economics. 

Roland Kidwell, Chair of Management Programs and Director of the Adams Center for Entrepreneurship, was recently honored as a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute at the FFI Global Conference in London, England. The Family Firm Institute (www.ffi.org) is an international professional membership whose mission is to be the most influential global network of thought-leaders in the field of family enterprise. FFI also provides research-based learning and relevant tools for success to advisers, consultants, academics and family enterprise members. 

Peter Ricci, Director of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Program in the Department of Marketing, was recently named as the 30th Annual South Florida Tourism Professional of the Year by the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism (AOHT).
