Andrew Gallan, Assistant Professor of Marketing, with co-authors Bruce Perlow, Riddhi Shah and Judith Gravdal, had their article titled, "The impact of patient shadowing on service design: Insights from a family medicine clinic," published in the Patient Experience Journal.

Soyoung Park, Assistant Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management, with co-author Will Rice, had their study titled, “Big Data Spatial Analysis of Camper’s Landscape Preferences: Examining Demand for Amenities,” accepted for publication in the Journal of Environmental Management (ABS3).

Soyoung Park, Assistant Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management, with co-authors Bing Pan, Michael S. Lin, Yun Liang and Ayse Akyildiz, had their study titled, “Social, Ethical and Moral Issues in Smart Tourism Development in Destinations,” accepted for publication in the Journal of Smart Tourism (new journal - not yet ABS-ranked).

Siri Terjesen, Associate Dean and Professor of Management Programs, had her article titled, “Blockchain, Bitcoin, and ICOs: a review and research agenda,” published in Small Business Economics.

Ethlyn Williams, Associate Professor of Management Programs, with co-authors R. Pillai, K. McCombs and K.B. Lowe, had their paper titled, “The Roles of Character and Charisma in Evaluating Leadership: Effects of Dark Triad and Honesty-Humility Traits, Attributed Charisma, and COVID-19 Crisis Anxiety in Rejecting a Presidential Leadership Candidate,” accepted for publication in Personality and Individual Differences.


Faculty Recognitions

The first published issue of the Review of Corporate Finance, co-curated by Editor-in-Chief, Douglas Cumming, Professor of Finance, along with executive editors, Chelsea Liu, and Silivio Vismara, is now available in print.

Scott Feyereisen, Assistant Professor of Management Programs, and Neeraj Puro, Assistant Professor of Management Programs, with co-authors Clay Thomas (Iowa State) and William McConnell, had their paper titled, "Small Wins and Punctuated Equilibria: How COVID-19 Facilitated NP's Pursuit of Increased Autonomy" awarded Best Paper for the 2021 Academy of Management conference.

Sofia Johan, Associate Professor of Finance, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Entrepreneurship Division, Academy of Management. Her 3-year term as a representative at large begins in August of this year.

Pradeep Korgaonkar, Professor of Marketing, was recognized by the Journal of Advertising Research (JAR) as one of its most highly cited researchers in the first large-scale bibliographic overview since the journal's founding in 1960. Professor Korgaonkar was included in two top-ten lists – "Ten Most Cited JAR Authors" with 450 citations (90.00 Mean Citations per Paper and 5 Published Papers), and "Ten Most Cited Papers in Jar" with 355 citations of - Korgaonkar, P. K., and L. D. Wolin. “A Multivariate Analysis of Web Usage.” Journal of Advertising Research 39, 2 (1999): 53–53.

Judy Monestime, Instructor of Health Administration, has been invited as a guest panelist to the Health IT Matters Webinar, hosted by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) in June.

Judy Monestime, Instructor of Health Administration, has been selected by the Florida Health Information Management Association (FHIMA) for the 2021 Educator Award, an honor described as "excellence in preparing the next generation" of Health Information Management/Informatics professionals. She has been recognized formally for incredible service and contribution to advancing HIM education through teaching, mentorship, and research.

Siri Terjesen, Associate Dean and Professor of Management Programs, has been selected as the 2021 editor of the year by Small Business Economics.

Donald Neubaum, Desantis Distinguished Professor of Management/Entrepreneurship, has surpassed the 10,000 citations mark on Google Scholar.
